Day 2: Walk The Line

First of all, sorry for the delay, but i promise i´ll catch up .

Walk The Line
Its  a biographical story of country singer Johnny Cash (Joaquin Phoenix), we see "Cash's younger life, his romance with June Carter (Reese Whiterspoon), and his ascent to the country music scene, with material taken from his autobiographies".

The film begins with a crowd cheering for Johnny on Folsom Prisom, while he´s backstage "near a table saw, reminding him of his youth and particularly of the death of his brother."

Then we see how he lives some dramatic experiences, and how music helps him, then when he´s a grown man he enlists the Air Force and  goes to Germany.
He buys a guitar and starts composing.

Then he´s back to marry girlfriend Vivian, and they have a child.
He became a sales man, but does´nt goes very well, until he decides to give it a shot to what he loves, Music, he starts a band with friends.

And they suceed, they get a contract, soon they begin touring, were he meets the beautiful June Carter.

He soon fall in love with her, and start spending time with, but when he make his move, she rejects him, so he start taking drugs, from now on, we see the consecuences of so, and how their relashionship gets difficult, because obviously June feels somenthing too, but she wont accept Johnny as he´s an addict.
She remarries, and get´s another divorce, Johnny too has a divorce, but keeps with the addicction.

After a while June´s mother encourage her to help him, so she does, and he finally gets out of the drugs.

They start touring again, and Johnny proposes on a concert and June finally says yes.

For those who like Johnny Cash music, and admire him, would love this movie, because they´ll get to know him more, and to know all the circumstances he been through, what inspired some songs, etc.

For those who have´nt listen or known about him, will also enjoy the movie, the music is great, the acting as well, its a love story, and shows how at the end, love triumphs and how a little desition can change a lot of things.

I really liked the movie even though i did´nt knew about Cash or his music, and although Country is not  my favorite music i did enjoyed i even felt like dancing.

So tell me, did you saw the movie??
What are your thoughts?
