Day 4: Life as We Know It

Hello everybody!!

I went to see Life as we know it, with Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel also Josh Lucas (wooa), it had been a long time since i saw him in a movie!

So First, yes its a Romantic/Comedy/Drama movie, but its not your tipical love story you know??

Its the story of Holly and Messer, and how they meet because their mutual friends, Peter and Alison, they got married and have a kid, Sophie, but they die and they leave the custody to Holly and Messer.

So they take care of the kid, but it leaves to some comedic scenes, because they have no idea whatsoever about how to raise a child, and even though at the begining they dont whant that responsability, they do it for their friends and for Sophie.

Also at the begining they hated each other, but at the end they get to know each other, and well you know whats next......

I really enjoyed this movie, it comes from dramatic to funny and to romance so it has everything.
Also I REALLY like Katherine Heigl´s acting, her movies are always of my liking (except for one) she is funny but it really makes you Feel what she´s feeling. And what can i say about Josh Duhamel... for a start he is gorgeous!!! since i saw him in Las Vegas i fall in love :D
He is also really funny, a good actor, and they both have great chemistry in screen.

The baby is adorable, but is a baby in the end so she cries, a lot.

It made me cry of course, as you can see im really a sentimental person :P

You have to see this one, its a cute story, and well i loveeee it.

I saw it with my family they also enjoyed, although its not their tipe of movie.

So if you see it you will end with a smile in your face. Really!

Have you seen it??
What are your thoughts??
ohh and the soundtrack is super awesome!!

Day 3: Finding Neverland

Sooo first of all, im thinking i´m not going to have a schedule for the movies, i´ll better see the one i feel like seeing in the day, it´ll be more fun... for me at least.

I guess i´ll improvise.
Oh man i hadn´t had time to watch my series, glee and the big bang theory, im so behind everything....
Anyways today i saw Finding Neverland.

I had seen it weeks ago but i saw it with my  mom and aunt but they kept talking so i couldnt listen anything, but today was the day :D

We all know Peter Pan right? , well this movie is about how the story came out, how the autor imagined it.

J.M. Barrie, a writter meets the Davis boys and their mother, Sylvia Llewelyn, who inspire the play.

After a bad reception of his latest play, he is trying to write another one, they develop a strong frienship and plays a lot with them, he has a great imagination, and the boys love to play with him. He start to get ideas from those games and to incorporate them to the story .

He gets specially attached to Peter Davis who is a boy that doesn´t likes to play with his imagination at first because of the death of his father he whants to be and adult, but with help of James he starts to develops his talents.

The play is a success, but Sylvia doesn´t see it, so James takes it to her house, before she dies from a unkown disease. At the end he takes care of the kids, along with their grandmother.

Its really touching the story, how at the end the real Peter Pan was James Barry because he was like a boy really, with such an imagination, the play became very famous, and i also teared up a little.

The acting is amazing, i mean Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet, and Freddie Highmore who plays Peter.
How James cares about them, and even though everybody criticize him for spending so much time with them, they didn´t cared.

Is a story about believing, in ourselves, in the people we love and loves us, believe that everything is posible if you try.

That imagination is a powerfull tool, that we all have, we just have to understand it and try it.

Personally i loved this movie, i liked peter pan before, but now it has a diferent meaning.

The score is amazing too.

I loved a review i read in Rotten Tomatoes
"Like Big Fish and The Neverending Story, this is a film that reminds us that life, coloured by our perceptions, is what we make it; all we have to do is believe"

What are your toughts?? did you liked it??

What part?

xo

OHH and like i said the score is just amazing!!!

Go listen!

Day 2: Walk The Line

First of all, sorry for the delay, but i promise i´ll catch up .

Walk The Line
Its  a biographical story of country singer Johnny Cash (Joaquin Phoenix), we see "Cash's younger life, his romance with June Carter (Reese Whiterspoon), and his ascent to the country music scene, with material taken from his autobiographies".

The film begins with a crowd cheering for Johnny on Folsom Prisom, while he´s backstage "near a table saw, reminding him of his youth and particularly of the death of his brother."

Then we see how he lives some dramatic experiences, and how music helps him, then when he´s a grown man he enlists the Air Force and  goes to Germany.
He buys a guitar and starts composing.

Then he´s back to marry girlfriend Vivian, and they have a child.
He became a sales man, but does´nt goes very well, until he decides to give it a shot to what he loves, Music, he starts a band with friends.

And they suceed, they get a contract, soon they begin touring, were he meets the beautiful June Carter.

He soon fall in love with her, and start spending time with, but when he make his move, she rejects him, so he start taking drugs, from now on, we see the consecuences of so, and how their relashionship gets difficult, because obviously June feels somenthing too, but she wont accept Johnny as he´s an addict.
She remarries, and get´s another divorce, Johnny too has a divorce, but keeps with the addicction.

After a while June´s mother encourage her to help him, so she does, and he finally gets out of the drugs.

They start touring again, and Johnny proposes on a concert and June finally says yes.

For those who like Johnny Cash music, and admire him, would love this movie, because they´ll get to know him more, and to know all the circumstances he been through, what inspired some songs, etc.

For those who have´nt listen or known about him, will also enjoy the movie, the music is great, the acting as well, its a love story, and shows how at the end, love triumphs and how a little desition can change a lot of things.

I really liked the movie even though i did´nt knew about Cash or his music, and although Country is not  my favorite music i did enjoyed i even felt like dancing.

So tell me, did you saw the movie??
What are your thoughts?

Day 1: Julie & Julia

Today´s movie, is really special!
First because is the movie that will open this blog, secondly because it means a lot to me, it was the movie whom inspired me to do this.
Whitout any more preambule lets go to the review. Ohh and thanks to all of you that are reading and comenting, you are Awesome!!.

Julie & Julia

Its a story about American Chef Julia Child (Meryl Streep), and Julie Powell(Amy Adams), and how they are united because of food.
Julia Child was “an American chef, author, and television personality.”
Julie Powell  “is an American author”. (according to Wikipedia).

The movie shows their life story, how Julia Child Became Julia Child, and how Julie Powell influenced by Julia,  decides to cook every recipe in Mastering the Art of French Cooking Julia´s debut CookBook, in a year and Blogs “to motivate herself and document her progress.”

Now you see were im coming from right?
After I watched this, I was like “how cool will be to do something that I really liked, and talk about it in a blog” so voila, here I am.

Besides that, I really liked it because, it shows that everybody should do what they like, but its not always an easy thing to do, you have to make an effort, and never give up, even when things look bad.
Julia always had a smile for everybody, it was such a cherfull woman, even when things did´nt turn out the way she wanted them, looked at the bright side and kept fighting for her dreams. And at the end she made it.
Julie also fought for her dreams, it wasn’t easy for her to finish that blog i´ll tell you, but she did, and she also made her dream come true, she became a writter.

You knew that behind every succesfull woman theres a man?, well this story proves it right, their husband´s were always so supportive, Julia´s Husband  Paul (Stanley Tucci) was such a sweet man, he loved Julia so much, and always believed in her, he was the one who cheer her up for her when she was down, and he always supported her.
And Eric (Chris Messina) Julie´s husband was amazing too, he actually was the one who had the idea of the blog.

So anyway, the movie is a Biography, Comedy, Drama and Romance, the acting is marvelous, Meryl Streep portrait´s Julia beautifully, and Amy Adams is great too.

You can read Julies Blog  or buy her book, and Julie Child´s.
